Dartmouth student charged with raping female student and possible second victim earlier this month
HANOVER, N.H. (AP) - A Dartmouth College student has been charged with raping a female student earlier this month, and police suspect there is at least one additional victim.
Hanover police say 20-year-old Parker Gilbert, a freshman from London, was arrested Thursday and charged with four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. His arrest followed a complaint from a female student who said she was attacked by Gilbert after he entered her unlocked dorm room early in the morning on May 2.
Police said they have reason to suspect that at least one other woman was recently attacked by Gilbert, who was ordered held on $75,000 bail and is due back in court May 20. Police searched Gilbert’s room after his arrest and plan additional searches.
It was unclear whether he had a lawyer.
