Owner of bar that was scene of a dance-floor beating of a man who later died of injuries is facing a charge of serving alcohol in a restricted area
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - The owner of a New Hampshire bar that was the scene of a dance-floor beating of a man who later died is facing a charge of serving alcohol in a restricted area.
The Portsmouth Herald reports Police Chief Stephen DuBois said Tuesday the charge against New Adventures Entertainment LLC, the parent company of The Page Restaurant & Bar, will be presented to a grand jury.
Zachary O’Neill of Dover has been charged with first-degree assault. He’s accused of striking Josh Krantz repeatedly on the head on the bar’s dance floor. The 24-year-old Krantz did not seek medical treatment and went home, where he died April 6.
A phone message seeking comment from an attorney representing the bar wasn’t immediately returned Tuesday morning.
