Manchester Police Aid in Apprehension of Fugitives from Vermont and Massachusetts

Manchester Police arrest a man wanted in Vermont and assist U.S. Marshals in the arrest of a Massachusetts fugitive.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police in Manchester, N.H., have arrested two men wanted in other states.

They arrested 42-year-old Joseph Pickens on Thursday. He was wanted in Burlington, Vt., on a charge of aggravated domestic assault. He was found at a Central Street address and taken into custody without further incident.

Later Thursday, police assisted in the arrest of Alexander Lopez of Lawrence, Mass., who was sought by U.S. Marshals on charges of assault in connection with a stabbing.

Both men were scheduled to be arraigned Friday fugitives from justice.
